Join the Institute

For practitioners who want to be known by their work.

The Institute is open to professionals who work with people — especially practitioners, consultants and HR specialists — seeking to further their professional development. Becoming a Institute Member includes the training itself: all four modules of the pathway, and a licensing agreement renewed each year.

What you get

Four reasons practitioners join.

The Institute is not a marketing vehicle. It is a community of practice. The benefits reflect that.

Register

Listed in good standing.

A named listing on the Institute's register as a member in good standing — the public record through which clients, colleagues and organisations verify who practises the method.

Discounts

20 per cent off, across the board.

A 20 per cent discount on the Institute's products, resources and merchandise — including the materials most members use week in, week out.

Collaboration

Access to other Institute Members.

Membership opens the door to co-facilitation — finding another member to hold work alongside you, and being found in turn when someone needs a second pair of hands.

Library

A library, and gatherings on demand.

An extensive library of materials and on-demand gatherings, available whenever the work calls for them — alongside the Institute's live Labs, online and in person.

Eligibility

Six requirements, all material.

  • 01Satisfactory completion of the Shadow Types Survey Debrief Certification — part one of the pathway, 12 contact learning hours.
  • 02Satisfactory completion of the Shadow Types Online Immersion — part two, 55 contact learning hours delivered live.
  • 03Satisfactory completion of Group Facilitation Training — part three, 15 contact learning hours delivered live.
  • 04Satisfactory completion of Practitioner Training — part four, 24 contact learning hours.
